THIS EVENT WILL BE RE-SCHEDULED LATER THIS YEAR - KEEP CHECKING BACK FOR UPDATES :-)

Join Stacy Ingham, Owner/Director of Ashtanga Yoga School Raleigh for a weekend of exploration of some essential aspects of the Primary Series.

Friday July 27th; 6-8pm Introduction to Sanskrit and Vinyasa Counting: The Vinyasa count of the Ashtanga practice is like the offical road map. Each breath and movement is accounted for from the first "ekam" to savasana. Learning this count in sanskrit and the names of of the postures helps students develop a deeper understanding of the practice and how it flows. This in turn allows for a more meditative practice. We'll begin by chanting the Sanskrit names of Primary Series postures and numbers through Thirty.

Saturday July 28th; 8-10:15am Led Primary Series Followed by Pranayama: Class will be led through the entire Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, followed by a 45 minute guided Pranayama practice.

Saturday July 28th; 12:30-2:30pm Primary Series Asana Study: We'll take a closer look at key postures and vinyasa from the Sun Salutes, Standing and Primary Series Seated postures.

Sunday July 29th; 8-10:45am Mysore Followed by Pranayama: The regular Sunday Morning Mysore session will be followed by a 45 minute guided Pranayama practice.
