SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY, MARCH 1st --

5:30-7:30PM : A Workshop on Inversions; Creating a Strong Foundation

in this class we will work to establish a strong foundation to support the inversion and

alleviate the mental aspect of fear. After looking deeply at our technique which consists

of learning to abduct the shoulder blades and better use of bandhas, students will be led

through a progression of inversions consisting of headstand, pincha mayurasana, and

handstand.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2nd--

Michelle Dorer is the director of the Ashtanga Yoga Center in the Outer Banks which opened in September 2005 and recently merged with a local Yoga Co-operative..  She is a long term student of Tim Miller and has completed his First Series, Second Series, and Third Series Teacher Trainings.  Michelle had the opportunity to practice with Pattabhi Jois at the tale end of his life and has also studied with several other prominent Ashtanga Yoga teachers within the Lineage, has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga daily uninterrupted for fifteen years, has practiced into the Fourth Series with Tim, has attended several workshops on various areas of spirituality such as meditation, chanting, astrology, ayurveda, studies of sacred texts, and has a love for lore, dancing, and gathering around Fire.  She has a BA in psychology from the University of Virginia.  It is her intention as a teacher to help facilitate the continuation of her students’ physical practice while nourishing their spiritual and emotional growth symbiotically.  She is interested in the global movement of Awakening that is currently happening.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made up to 21 days prior to the start of the Workshop will receive a refund minus any credit card fees already accrued and a $15 handling fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 21 days of the start of the Workshop.
